- Promote biotechnology contribution to the technological development of sustainable agriculture in the region
- Provide accurate information of science based plant biotechnology

- Share funds for joint plant biotechnology projects to improve regional agricultural practices and environmental protection
- Facilitate the introduction of new biotechnology results to address regional agricultural challenges
- Facilitate information exchange, joint biotechnology projects among scientists in the region and between the regions
- Provide information about the benefits of plant biotechnology
- Organize meetings, training courses, conferences in the area of plant biotechnology
- Cooperate with universities and research institutes to contribute to plant biotechnology education
- Establish relations with scientific and agricultural associations, non-governmental organizations to facilitate science-based plant biotechnology acceptance
